Dawson – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 2yrs – male (57lbs) Say hello to our handsome boy, Dawson! This buff little bull was abandoned and left tied to the fence at a county shelter. He then sat at that county shelter for nine full months with no interest. We can’t understand why, he’s such a great boy! Because they are so overcrowded and dogs keep coming in, Dawson’s days were numbered. We saw his adorable face with his crazy ears and swooped him right up! He’s settling in nicely and we’re learning more about him every day. Dawson is an awesome little dude! He loves going for walks and although he pulls a bit, he responds well to correction. He knows basic commands and is happy to impress us with sit, shake, down, and more. It appears that he is housebroken because he has no accidents in his kennel area. So far, he has not been overly interested in other dogs, but definitely prefers the ladies when he is. It sometimes takes him a little time to warm up, probably because humans have failed him so often, but once he does, he’ll be your best friend. Dawson is happy, quirky, and fun to be around.
