My Story

Dasher originally arrived to SCAS along with his canine housemates Zoey (adopted) and Archer after the three dogs were fighting and their owner was bit by Zoey and Dasher trying to break it up; as none of the dogs were fixed, this more than likely was the reason for the conflict and we have had no aggression issues with any of them. Dasher is a gorgeous boy who craves attention and guidance, and would thrive with a home that can provide him with the physical and mental stimulation that huskies require. While he is not crazy hyper, he has your typical husky energy and a home with securely-fenced yard would be ideal. While we have not had a chance to test him with other dogs here at the shelter, we have not noticed any outward aggression or concerning behavior from him. If you have a potential canine sibling and are interested in meeting Dasher, please bring them for a meet-and-greet. We are unsure as to how Dasher does with cats or other animals. Dasher is neutered and therefore there are no restrictions on adoption. -//- Thank you for reaching out and showing interest in adopting a pet from the Stafford County Animal Shelter.
