Dash

Meet Dash! This happy-go-lucky guy is looking for his fur-ever home. Dash came into our care on 6/14/2024 as a found stray. A police officer brought him in and said he was a chill guy for the ride to the shelter. Dash was given a medical exam when he came in and was noted to be in overall good health other than some bumps on his skin and a small spot of hair loss on his back. During his exam the staff said he is very friendly and seeks out booty scratches. On 6/19 we diagnosed him with a doggy cold and he was placed on antibiotics. We conducted a PCR test and found him to be positive for Pneumovirus. He was then placed into isolation for his treatment duration. On 7/01, he did still have some nasal discharge, so his medication was extended. Dash was then retested on 7/03 and came back negative for the Pneumovirus! Dash has been a superstar pup while in our care! He greets everyone with a hug, a kiss, and his signature giant smile. He's playful, social, and absolutely loves to be around people. Whether it's jumping around with a stuffed animal or learning with his handlers, Dash's energy and affection are infectious. He walks like a champ on his leash and loves making new doggy friends. His nose leads the way on hikes, and on a recent day trip he enjoyed a post-hike picnic with his hosts -a perfect adventure buddy! Dash is looking for his forever home where he can share his love and joy with someone like you! If you're ready for endless smiles and giggles that will make your abs sore, Dash is your perfect match! NOTES: On 6/16/24 per volunteer: Dash is so sweet! Walked so well on the leash, had no issues when other dogs walked past. Dash sees the world through his nose and even enjoyed a post hike picnic with us! On 6/15/24 per staff: Perfectly social and sweet, an absolute pleasure to have out! On 6/15 per staff: Dash sat for leashing with big soft eyes and was very patient for leashing and came right out. Pulls minimally on the leash. Dash came into the eval room with a big smile and a wagging tail. He is very social and bubbly. He greeted the handlers with a hug and kiss and a big smile. He is very jumpy (jumps in the air) and was great with play. He engaged with the handlers the entire time, keeping his eyes and attention on us. Dash allowed all handling and is an overall perfect boy. Jumped around with stuffed animals and engages in play.
