Darwin's heritage is somewhat of a mystery, he looks like a lab x and has the beautiful brindle coat of a Mastiff. Whatever he is, he will be a large dog when full grown. His estimated age on June 1, was 18 weeks and he weighed 38 pounds. Darwin was found locked in an outside kennel at the local animal shelter. He is currently enrolled in the Pups On Parole program at the California Correctional Center where he is being cared for and trained in basic obedience by inmate fire fighters. After just a few days his trainer indicated although still a puppy, he is a very smart, a quick learner and a well mannered dog. Darwin will be neutered prior to adoption is current on vaccinations and micro chipped.
