ADOPTION PENDING! Meet Dart, a loving one-year-old Yellow Lab and Great Dane mix . His name “Dart” comes from d'Artagnan, the fourth Musketeer, the sweet young clumsy one. He is an exceptionally handsome dog that resembles the Yellow Lab in the bestselling book, “Marley & Me”. He is 105 pounds, but is tall and leggy like a Great Dane, so if you’ve always wanted a big dog, Dart might be the guy for you! Dart likes to lay on his bed and chew a good toy or bone. He is crate-trained, but a crate may not be necessary since he spends nights out of the crate with no problem. He is great on a leash and sits at every corner before being told to cross. Dart has been to a three-week intensive training stay-over boot camp at K-9 University and has followed up with training reinforcement. He knows his name, sit, down, come, drop and stay. He can also shake hands. Dart loves friendly wrestling and playing with other dogs at the dog park and would make a wonderful companion for a dog that likes to play. Dart also likes wearing his backpack on long walks. His true love is the Dog Beach, and in true lab form, absolutely adores the water. Looking out the window at what is happening in the neighborhood is his favorite way to pass the time. On vet trips, the vet takes him around the office to show him off and he is great with the entire examination process. He’s in great shape and completely up to date on all shots and exams and is neutered and microchipped. Thousands of dollars have been spent on his training and care therefore we are looking for a family who would be willing to continue the upkeep of this training.
