My Story

Dante is a ten-month-old, 48-pound, friendly, energetic and playful, red and white male Siberian Husky pup with heterochromatic eyes looking for a loving guardian. Dante is wonderfully playful with other friendly dogs. He is also great with people of all ages. He’s lived with children as young as six in his previous home. He does jump up on people in an overly friendly manner, so he will benefit from additional training. He is housebroken and crate-trained, and sits on command. Dante has a strong prey drive and will hunt for bunnies, squirrels and birds on his walks. He has a lot of energy, so he’d make an excellent walking/running/hiking buddy. Huskies are known escape artists, so walks on leash, or playing in a securely fenced in yards is a must. He is extremely healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, Bordetella and leptospirosis, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $350 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Dante, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing [email protected] He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
