Katniss is a curious, explorative girl who loves stimulation and activity, but can also calm down and snooze peacefully or cuddle in a lap. She loves to play with all kinds of toys and take leisurely walks, sniffing and observing the world around her. Behavioral needs: Katniss did not have the easiest start in life. She was taken from her prior owners who did not provide a nurturing environment or proper puppy training and socialization. Katniss has made great progress with daily training and reinforcement of good behaviors. She needs continued, dedicated training and socialization to help manage her energy, high arousal level and emotions so that she will respond to situations in a calm and composed manner. She is a bright, attentive, good listener who is eager to learn, loves human interaction, and is motivated by treats and food. She may chase small animals such as squirrels. She will voluntarily enter a crate to rest. Animal Characteristics: Katniss is a sweet, playful, high energy, joyful, pup who is eager to make friends with everyone she meets! She has an exuberant, friendly temperament and a tremendous amount of love to give.
