ADOPTED AUGUST 2010
Dakota 7 year old male purebred. The only way that you would know this sweet boy is a Senior, is because we have his birth date on his AKC Papers. Dakota is a dog that would fit into almost any situation like a dream!
He has the maturity of a seasoned dog, as he is completely housebroken, doesn't chew, and has wonderful house manners. But........ he still has LOTS of energy to be an active family dog. Dakota gets along with dogs of all ages, he can keep up to a playful younger dog, as well as being a companion to an older dog.
He is being fostered in a home with multiple dogs, and several children ages 6 years old and up. He LOVES the kids, and will play outside with them, and then snuggle on the couch for a rest. He is quite a little ham, as he does cute tricks such as; sit, shake, give hugs and kisses!
Dakota is not a "typical" rescue dog, as he had one owner his whole life and was very well cared for. He has had consistent veterinary care to keep him healthy, and has had a lot of love. Sadly due to finances he had to say good-bye to the only home he ever had, and desperately wants a new family to call his own.
Dogs like Dakota don't come into rescue very often, and this is a wonderful chance for someone to get an amazing dog, that adapts easily to a new situation. Dakota has endless amounts of joy and love to give, he is anxiously waiting for a family of his very own. Please consider opening your home and heart to Dakota, you won't be disappointed!
