My Story

AUGUST 16: Daisy Duke passed to the Rainbow Bridge today, as she was coming out of the anaesthetic from her routine spay. Our hearts our hurting at the loss of this sweet and gentle girl, and we are so happy that she knew the love and comforts at her foster family's home, and we send our deep condolences to the furever family that was waiting to bring her home. Thank you all for your support of homeless kids everywhere, and for your interest in Daisy pawticular, she was a special and very loved girl.

UPDATE Aug 7: "Her hair is now cut like a lion. She has the big lion mane and a tuff of hair left on the tip of her tail. Daisy is very lazy and just wants to lay around in the house, but at night she does like to sneak on the couch for some reason she has come to realize that the couch is much more comfy than the bathtub that she used to prefer.

She is always there wagging her lion tail , her big jowls bouncing as she trots out to greet me when I arrive home at night from work . She likes to go to the barn to help with chores.

Daisy is probably the most laid back dog that we have ever encountered in all our years of being dog owners. She just reminds us all of a great big cuddly teddy bear."

This precious girl has just checked in with PALS, thanks to a local rescuer. We'll be getting her a login ID and password, and scheduling a photo-shoot very soon, but meanwhile, here's what we know about her:

"She was a mess when she wandered to our house 3 weeks ago. Her hair was all matted and very thin. I body clipped, wormed, and Front Lined her. She is a great dog. Seems to be on the older side.

She has gotten along fine with all of our dogs and cats. She stays outside or inside, but prefers inside. She is house trained and loves to lay in the bath tub. She is probably about 40-50 lbs under weight but she has been gaining weight but I am sure it will take awhile."

This newfie girl will be going to the dogtor very soon, so we will update with an age estimate and any news on her dogtor visit at that time, if not before! Meanwhile, please call or e-mail PALS to find out more info about her.

This sweet girl's adoption donation is $150 which includes her spay, deworming, and shots. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located to the right to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!
