My Story

PLEASE CONTACT MY FOSTER MOM AT 703-967-1000 FOR MORE INFORMATION...THANK YOU! My name is Daisy II. I've got the "II" after my name because there is another Daisy at Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue and I don't want to be confused with her. I was so very lucky to have a professional photo shoot and she captured all my beauty! So please don't hate me because I'm so beautiful. I'm a big girl and have a bit of resource guarding when it comes to my food. I do not like people coming near my food while eating but I do fine taking treats out of your hand. I LOVE other male dogs and would love a home with a male dog to play with. I will need to meet him first to make sure he likes me. But NO CATS since I like to chase! My future family would greatly benefit from having Great Pyrenees experience and the ability to work with me on my resource guarding. For that reason, a family with small children may not be the best fit. Although all Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high), I require a five foot fence at the minimum. If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone! Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
