Daisy Hope came to Lily's Pad Rescue after surviving 3 gunshot wounds. The shelter took her in and provided life saving surgery, then we took her in to a safe loving foster home where she could heal. She has been doing so well, however she did need another surgery to remove more bone and bullet fragments. Daisy loves her foster family, and is playful with the dogs but she definitely would do best in a home with dogs her size or bigger. She does not like small animals we have learned. Daisy is also not fully housetrained. Her foster family works with this gently, but we are careful not to traumatize her again.
Daisy would do best in a very patient, loving home where she can just be loved and enjoy life to the fullest, but also with a strong leader who can make her feel safe. You should be able to provide structure and learning in a positive way.
