My Story

Daisy Duke was found abandoned underneath a rural church having just weened a litter of puppies. Her sweet foster spent weeks earning her trust so that Daisy could join Second Chances Animal Rescue and get all of her vetting, including a flea bath, vaccines, and spayed. Daisy can still be a little shy, but she has come such a long way. One of her favorite treats is pink hot dogs, and she loves to play with her fosters grandson after school. If you are looking for a new family member and think Daisy Duke might fit your life, please send us an inquiry! Her foster would love to answer all your questions! *Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
