My Story

Come meet this regal beauty, Dahlia! Dahlia is a 1 and a half year old large mixed breed. Dahlia came to FVHA as a stray. After some love and care, she is ready to find her furever home! Dahlia can be shy with new people but once she warms up, she will show you how sweet she truly is. True to her breed, she loves to be outside and will form a strong bond with her people. Dahlia has made several meaningful friendships here at the shelter. She has opened up immensely and finds great comfort in her favorite people. Dahlia would do best in a home with patience and kindness. Her background is unknown and she may take some time to adjust to her new home life. Her future adopters should have knowledge in canine body language to ensure she is able to remain as comfortable as possible. Dahlia will let you know she's your best friend when she gives you a big kiss and a smile. Dahlia would do best as an only dog as she is not confident in her interactions with fellow canines. Dahlia would shine brightest in a home without young children and would prefer older, respectful children. She would require and benefit from a slow introduction to any household cats due to her unknown background with them. Dahlia is spayed, has received core vaccinations (Bordetella, Canine Distemper, Rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Dahlia or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or [email protected]
