Cosmo is one of five very unique puppies. His markings are absolutely georgeous. His journey to a new home started in Louisiana when Little Souls Foundation agreed to take a very pregnant small terrier mix from a shelter. Momma immediately had 6 babies and lost one before being pulled out of that shelter. She and her babies were immediately transported to a wonderful foster home in Arkansas where Momma and babies immediately got sick and required emergency treatment with antibiotics. They all pulled through and once in good health were relayed by car to CT through the generosity of about 13 wonderful generous drivers. The pups now about 5 weeks old went into a foster home in CT where they lived with a great family who exposed them to typical family life and other animals. They are now about 10 weeks old and will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and started on shots before adoption. Cosmo should be ready for adoption about Oct 1, 2008. His adoption fee of $400 will help with veterinary expenses including the expensive heartworm treatment required by her poor Mom who tested positive for heartworm infection (this does not affect the pups). Cosmo and his siblings should make wonderful family pets. If you are interested in adopting Cosmo, please request a pre-adoption questionnaire. The most suitable home and not necessarily the first inquiry will be chosen for these special pups. CT adoption only at this time.
