Name: Copper
Breed: Retriever mix
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 40 pounds
Currently Living at: Boarding -- COPPER NEEDS A FOSTER !!!

Copper is a very sweet dog that absolutely adores human interaction. He will melt into your arms when given the opportunity to be loved by someone. He is very patient and accepting of being touched in sensitive places and has not shown any form of aggression towards a person while at training at TBYP.

Since his nature is so gentle with people we feel he would be a good candidate for a home with children age 3 and up; however dogs and children should be monitored at all times to prevent accidents.

He is not overly hyper and rarely jumps on people and has not participated in any destructive behavior while at training. Since he is on the smaller size he is easy to control during moments where discipline is required to correct unwanted behaviors.

Copper would do best in a home with a small yard, but 2-3 walks a day with some play time would adequately provide the amount of exercise for him on a regular basis. He would do best in a home with many family members to provide lots of human interaction and affection as he excels in his training with positive reinforcement. He has officially graduated from the Backyard Pack Boot Camp Training -way to go Copper!

Like most shelter dogs, Copper may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $280, which includes routine vetting up to the time of adoption, including age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery.
