Cooper was pulled by Waggin Tails from a rural shelter that releases dogs and cats to a dealer who then sells them for use in research. .
Approximate age / weight: Cooper is approximately 9 months old and 63 lbs.
Personality: Cooper is a big, playful, friendly pup! He loves to give kisses and won’t pass up a good belly rub or petting session. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home but will need supervision and training around kitties....he thinks they're the best toys ever!! Cooper is house trained and knows how to 'sit'. He can be bouncy and playful but so far has not jumped up on people. Cooper will keep you entertained while you clean....he loves to chase the vacuum and mop. We haven't had Cooper around water but suspect he would love to play in a pool or a lake....he's tried to join his foster mom in the shower on several occasions. Cooper has all the potential to be a great family pet who will give you years of love and laughter.
Forever home: Cooper would love a home where he has a doggy buddy to romp with but would be just as happy as an only dog getting all the lovin. He has quite the strong desire to chase squirrels so he'd do best in a home with a fenced yard. He's very friendly, affectionate and outgoing and should adjust nicely in a variety of family situations.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
