All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Columbo was left at a local dog pound when his owners moved and were unable to take him. They said he is a purebred Saint Bernard but we suspect he is mixed with something, perhaps border collie. Just look at that sweet face! He is 5 months old and weighs 45-50 lbs. Here is a note from foster mom: Columbo is a fun and energetic puppy. He is full of personality and it is non-stop. He is quite the snuggler too. He gets along with all of the dogs and cats that he lives with. He is just a very happy guy. He loves to have toys to play with and especially bones to chew on. He is house broken and quick to catch on to the flow in his foster mom's house. Columbo has been a dream of a puppy! He hasn't gotten into any mischief that puppies tend to do. Columbo is a mixture of St. Bernard and Border Collie. He has the energy level of a Border Collie. Therefore he needs to go to a home that is very active. Otherwise he will get bored and that usually leads to trouble. Columbo also rides well in the car.
