Cody is about 11 months old and appears to be a hound mix of sorts. He's got the lean build of a greyhound, the ears and markings of a foxhound-like breed, and the quirkiness of a class clown :)
Cody weighs under or around thirty pounds and will always be on the lean side. Basic obedience and manners training have done WONDERS for this cute and fun pup. He's a quick learner and can sit, down, shake and wave on command. He *loves* to show off his tricks and when he sits and looks up at you, his ears stick out on both sides... adorable.
Cody is learning to walk properly on a leash and avoid distractions. He's made tons of progress indoors, respecting boundaries and learning not to go 'shopping' for inappropriate chew toys. He reacts to voice reprimands which is a HUGE improvement- he didn't even understand the word 'no' three weeks ago! He's still at a malleable age in terms of shaping his personality, and would do best in a home with some dog experience, ground rules and opportunities for exercise. He does great with other dogs, and seems to do well with children. Cats may be a bit too tempting, but he may be able to learn respect for a confident/dominant cat.
Cody is also still a puppy in that he has the puppy joie de vivre, whether at the dog park or tumbling on the ground with a rope toy. He has a slight underbite and sometimes his gums get stuck on his teeth, which is absolutely endearing. He's a good-natured, sweet, silly boy. Would you like to have a stand-up comic as a best friend? If so, come check out Cody!
