My Story

Coco is another ball of furry love we have here at the shelter. She was a stray found with her buddy Lexie (see #8500) Coco is aswell a senior dog. She is probably a couple years older than Lexie, but not too far apart in age. Coco has quite the silly personality, she still really hams things up around here. When Coco went for her health check the very found a grade 1 level heart murmmer and that she is a smidge overweight, but nothing serious. She is a bit foggy in the right eye, but gets around well with no problems. She does need to stay with her buddy Lexie as they are so in love. Coco cant go for as long of walks as Lexie, but will follow behind at a good Coco pace. Her paws were soar and inflammed when she arrived at our shelter, but with some anti-histamines and grooming, she is feeling better and better everyday. The vet said she may have had a allergic reaction as to why her paws hurt. When Coco came to us she was SOOOO terrribly matted she could hardly walk. Her matts pulled her skins so tight on her feet and were soo big that her nails were groing thru the matts. There fur was dirty and had a very bad oder. Thanks to WetPaws, Elia did some free grooming for us and Coco looks sooo cute and feels better. She bounds around like a little puppy again. These 2 girls would make a nice retired couple soo happy. They are wonderful companions who still have many years ahead of them.
