You’ll never guess how long I’ve been living at Animal Control - I arrived on January 7 of this year! I’ve watched winter turn into spring, and now spring has turned into summer. I try to keep my hopes up, though. I just know one day someone will see what a gift I would be to their home and family. My name is Petey (CM1961) and I’m a friendly, mellow, laid-back boy who knows how to sit on command. Even though I was so happy to be out of my kennel, I obediently sat and smiled for my picture. I’m looking for someone to cuddle me, take me for walks, feed me good food, and kiss me good-night - you know, all those things that other dogs take for granted! Not me, I’ll appreciate every single thing you do if only you’ll adopt me. I’m 3-years-old, leash-trained, and I once lived with another dog. The officers say I’m a very good boy and they can’t understand why I’ve been passed by month after month.
