Howdy! I’m
Cletus, and let’s face it ~ I am GORGEOUS! Young and athletic, playful and goofy, that’s me. I was surrendered to a shelter because my owner didn’t have much time for me, but you can tell by my beautiful coat and teeth that I’ve been well cared for.
As it turns out, that was my lucky, because three days later Safe Harbor came and took me into their program. I’m now with a great foster mom and dad and am living in harmony with three other very big, grown up Labs. One of them is the boss, and he’s teaching me a thing or two about manners. My foster mom said that’s fine with her. No better teacher than a Lab who knows the ropes.
I’m about 16 months old and weigh about 70 lbs. My chocolate coat is the color of mahogany, and very shiny.
I’m great in the car, very good off leash, and would love to be introduced to a Gentle Leader so that I can learn to walk better on-leash. I also “sit” and “down”. I am crate-trained, too! Just don’t leave me in too long – I feel like I’ve spent half my life in a crate!
I would love an active home where lots of exercise is provided – I keep hearing about “The Mountains” and “hiking”. I would love to find out more! Since I’m good off-leash, I’ll bet I would be a great hiking partner once I’ve bonded with you. And what’s this about “swimming”?? Let’s find out more about that too!
Please consider adopting me – I am ready to start my new life anytime, the sooner the better!
