My Story

WANT TO SAVE A LIFE? Our lucky foster dogs are safe until they are placed in adoptive homes. Sadly, however, there is always a long list of dogs in shelters who are running out of time - dogs whose very LIVES depend upon someone like you adopting or fostering them!

CLICK HERE to visit the “urgent” pages on our website. Here, you can see shelter dogs who are currently in DESPERATE NEED of fostering or adoption! There are always wonderful dogs of all ages, both purebred and mixes, who need YOU if they are to get out alive. Please consider a shelter dog first!

MEET CLAUS!

Note; For more pictures of big, beautiful Claus, please visit his ersonal photo album on: WEBSHOTS.

ust took this big, beautiful baby boy into foster over the Thanksgiving weekend, so we're still getting to know him and don't yet have good photos. We have heard great things about him so far, though . . . What we DO know is that this puppy (he's less than 2 years old) is bigger than life, that he's full of love, and that he spreads good cheer wherever he goes . . . So what better name for a dog like that than "Claus"?

Here's what his foster mom had to say about him: "Claus is FANTASTIC! He is so loveable, and he's already won ever heart here. I swear that if he weren't so huge I'd want to keep him myself, no matter how many dogs I already have :) I'm having trouble keeping my grand-daughter Jessica off him! He has one endearing habit that we will work on, no matter how much we are charmed by it ourselves . . . He wants to stand up and hug everyone he meets and he's so big its hard not to fall down. But he literally wraps those big Malamute paws around your neck and "hugs" you --and it feels so good! He knows "sit" and does so when told, he knows "shake", he knows "lie down" -- and he even rolls over! When I think about the fact that someone actually dumped this big sweet loveable boy at a shelter, it just breaks my heart . . . I haven't met one SO worth saving in a long time, even with all the fosters I have!"

Please check back soon for more info and new photos!
