Clarabelle is a lovely hound mix who was found as a stray, so not much is known about her past. She is quiet and gentle, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Clarabelle is a typical hound in that she likes to get her nose to the ground and go. She is very strong on her leash, so she is being taught to walk with a head-halter and is doing very well with that. This gorgeous dog is a real people-person. She likes to be around her person, just hanging out in the room with them.
She is a couch potato and prefers to lay on the sofa whenever she can get away with it! Clarabelle is happy to share her space with other dogs, but she is not overly playful with them. Another mellow dog to accompany her on walks and keep her company at home would be a great fit for her. She will exploit a short or weak fence, so a 6 foot secure fence is a must for her.
This dog is a real eye-catcher. Her foster home reports that they are often stopped on their walks by people who wish to meet her and rub her soft ears. Her foster sister is getting just a bit jealous of all the compliments Miss Clara is getting! If you go for that Southern bell type, soft spoken with the long eyelashes, then Clarabelle is your girl! Her fee is $150.
