Chuck has found his forever home with his foster family, the Guardias.
UPDATE 8/16: Chuck is being fostered in Somerville, MA. Chuck was adopted from the south (from a hoarder situation in February). His first adoptive family had to give him up due to his one negative trait (pooping on the floor approximately once a day). They have a new baby on the way and don't want to have baby encountering poop while learning to crawl. Who can blame them? But here's what they have to say about him--
"Chuck is a joy - his personality is GREAT. He loves kids - we have a 2-year-old, and Chuck tolerates all of the torture that our son and his friends inflict on him. He is extremely affectionate, and loves to be around people and other dogs. I don't think he has an aggressive bone in his body. He is active, but has been really happy with our yard and the occasional walk. Chuck's only issue is that he is not 100% toilet trained to poop outside. He does pee outside with no problem. He does have cataracts in one eye, but has no health issues. The vet estimated his age at 6-8 years. I really can't imagine a dog with a better personality for an individual or a family who wants companionship." If you have room in your heart and a room in your house where you wouldn't mind picking up the occasional Chuckie doodoo, then you are the family for Chuck. There is still hope that he can be trained out of doing this. Chuck's adoption fee is $300.
Please complete an
online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
