CHOCOLATINA is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever, a rich brown in color. Like the delightful confection that is chocolate, CHOCOLATINA is sweet indeed! She’s the quintessential “easy keeper,” in that she doesn’t require a ton of exercise, she is perfectly crate trained, and she gets along with other dogs and humans alike. CHOCOLATINA had a miserable life too convoluted to detail here, except to say that she lived in cramped quarters in a city dwelling for an extended period of time before her owner was jailed and she was shuffled from relative to friend until she finally found a path to Animal Alliance. CHOCOLATINA weighs 60 pounds, and is not the slightest bit overweight. She’s content to lay down and chew a bone for hours on end, offering quiet companionship to her foster mother. She also loves to go for a nice walk or play in the yard with another dog. This is a dog who is not hyperactive or neurotic, just an average, middle of the road nice dog looking for a place to call home. If you want a “Chocolate Lab” to accompany on life’s journey, a sweet angel of a dog to hang out with, well, CHOCOLATINA might be just the dog for you!

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
Please see the
Animal Alliance Homepage for adoption details.
