Chloe (ADOPTED)

Chloe is a pretty 6 month old spayed female Boxer or Shepherd mix. She is brown and white, with black markings, and currently weighs around 25 lbs. Chloe has a very interesting story – initially, from what we were told, Chloe and her siblings were given away for free by the original owner. Chloe was given to some children, who then took her home, and the parents said “no dog” – the children were actually taking Chloe to the lake to drown her, when a Good Samaritan saw what was going on and intervened. Although Chloe was now safe, that family could not keep her either, and so Second Chance Rescue stepped in to help! We are so glad that someone was obviously looking out for Chloe, as she is a wonderful young dog! Chloe is incredibly loving, and likes to give kisses!! She gets along well with other dogs (and has had limited exposure to cats, but seemed to do well with them also), and is very playful and active. We are working on basic obedience with her (she is a quick learner), and also on housebreaking (which she is doing very well at). Chloe also loves the wading pool – she will “dig to China” in the water, or just loves standing in it! Chloe has a super personality, and is a very smart girl. We would love to see her with someone or a family that is active, and who is willing to work on training with her. She is current on vaccinations, and is on heartworm prevention.
