My Story

Chloe, who will be 6 years old in November 2008, is a New Hope dog taken by Illinois Humane after she had been there six weeks and not adopted. Absolutely gorgeous (although filthy when released), she looked a lot better after a bath at the car wash. Chloe probably wasn’t adopted from animal control because she has a deformed foot. Two vets have said it might have been congenital or it might have been an earlier untreated injury. At any rate, she walks holding it up a bit, but it does not give her pain. She sits and lies down normally. Chloe is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and has a temperament to dream of. She loves everyone and has had no trouble with other dogs when in obedience training class or visiting nursing homes with other dogs and their handlers. She loves to ride in the car, we still haven’t heard her bark and she is housebroken. When this dog’s stained coat grows out, she is going to be absolutely stunningly beautiful. She likes men, women and children. No preferences for this gal. To visit with Chloe, please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, Ill., on the first and fourth Sundays of each month or the second and third Sundays at Springfield’s PetsMart on Veterans Parkway. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If that doesn't match your schedule, please call Illinois Humane at (217) 698-3804 to arrange for a visit with Chloe. She is waiting to meet you.
