WE HAVE AN ADOPTION PENDING FOR CHIQUITA!
Sept 26th. Chiquita has been with us now for several weeks and we discovered she is "terrified" of other dogs who run up to her and take her by surprise. Chiquita will need gentle, controlled socializing with a balanced pack so she can learn not all dogs are a threat. She needs to know you are in charge and taking care of her and not the other way around. OTHERWISE, she is such a SWEET, SWEET dog!!!
CHIQUITA is a young, 8 lb Chihuahua mix who longs for a new home she can call home. Chiquita landed in a busy shelter where she has been since late June. Staff fell in love with her but could not hold her any longer. Her family lost their home and could no longer keep her. This is happening more and more which leaves a lot of displaced pets.
On August 27th, we were asked to help get Chiquita to safety. Her time was up and we agreed to help this darling, little dog.We are told she was is a home with older children and several other dogs. Chiquita will be fully vetted and spayed and ready to join her new family second week of September. She will need help with house-training as many shelter dogs do.
