My Story

Rescued by Red Lake Rosie Rescue after being injured by other dogs on the reservation, Chinook was neutered & treated before coming to our shelter to look for a permanent home. Chinook is a young (about a year old) neutered male Husky who is about as perfect as can be. He is well-mannered around people and mostly behaves himself. He does jump a bit when excited, but can easily be trained not to do that. Chinook does get along with other dogs. We are unsure how he is with cats, so do urge caution. We have not seen any signs of aggression with him, and are comfortable adopting him out to a family with young children. Huskies in general do tend to be runners, often putting on many miles in a single sprint. They are also notorious for digging. If you have not had the pleasure of living with a Husky in the past, please spend some time researching this breed before considering Chinook for adoption. Born 1/2008 (estimated)
