Here's what Chewy's foster has to say: Yesterday he was very shy, he likes to be hugged and petted. He is really great with other dogs and kids. (judy is 3) Loves her!!! He will come to you if you hold out your hand and talk sweet to him but it takes him awhile, his tail wags the whole time though.
He lost a little weight in the trip but he is very quickly coming around. He is very mature for his age, he is completly potty trained and does fabulous with a doggie door. He eats well. So each hour he comes around more and more. He is a quiet dog that really just wants to be loved and hugged, he comes off as shy but really likes people and touch. I imagine in another day or 2 he'll be jumping on my lap.
He's a little shy but not in a bad way -- NOT AT ALL!!!He doesnt growl or show any signs of aggresion ---- I think the trip up here just shook him up a bit. I hug and kiss him alot and that seems to help and my other pup and he are already best buds. He is also starting to do pretty good walking on a leash. He is going to be a great loyal dog. Whoever gets him will be lucky!!!!
UPDATE 8/12: Chewy is in foster care in NE -- please check back for new pictures and updates. He's a GREAT DOG - sweet, gentle, funny, playful.... he is seeing an opthalmologist on 8/13 so we will have more updates on his vision soon. Please send in an application if you would like to be considered for this wonderful dog!!
UPDATE: Chewy has some vision issues, and will most likely be vision-impaired. We will know more as he is evaluated by a vet. He's a GREAT dog, his foster mom loves him!!!!! But he is ready for a new home!
Hello there Dudes!!!! My name is Chewbacca and i'm new the the pound... I'm a Cuddly soft little man. I'm ready to go to a new home and show my new family how much love I have to offer!!!!! The shelter worker isn't sure what my mom and dad look like so I'm not sure how big I will get but I'm probably going to be a pretty big guy!!!! I'm about 9 weeks old!!!!

If you cannot provide a home, sponsors are welcome and needed for heartworm treatment and/or other medical expenses for dogs coming to New England. Foster families are also needed from time to time. Fostering a healthy dog or one that is in treatment will also save lives!

Transportation from Arkansas, is a paid transport and costs are included in the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $200.00 for altered dogs. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR) $300. for unaltered puppies, with $100 refundable after spay/neuter
