In 1-5-07. A suberb dog, great stature, super disposition and the looks of a king.
These dogs were described by Marco Polo as "lion hearted, dramatic and full of strength". They were bred in Tibet for centuries as flock, farm and home guardians against unwanted intruders, whether they be human or animal.
Chewy came to us from the local kill shelter where he's been housed for months, mislabled as a Chow-Chow. He certainly has no Chow in him. He is a gentle dog and not overly large. He is in perfect health and we are aging him at 1-3 yrs old. He has great basic obedience skills and we will be housebreaking him starting now. He does appear to have some male dog aggression, which is perfectly normal for an unaltered male dog left to his own devices. So a home with spayed females or no other dogs is what we will be seeking. He is being neutered as we speak, so that should dissapate some of that competitiveness. We will update his bio as we learn more about him. These aren't the best photos either, he was in the tub getting all the shelter filth scrubbed off him! BOY, he LOVED it!!
