My Story

My name is Chevy, but you can call me Mr. Mom. I was found in an abandoned house taking care of my two pups, Diesel and Hemi. I have great manners, a calm demeanor, and respond to commands beautifully. I'm very smart and love human attention. My favorite things to do are cuddle on the couch, enjoy a good scratch as I'm very content napping by my people and playing with my toys. I like to play ball. I love playing soccer too! I can even "dance' on my hind legs. I like respectful kids and attention. Chevy currently lives as an only pet and needs to be an only pet. Chevy is a very loyal companion and would thrive with a person/ couple who could focus on him. Fenced yard required for his safety. He is approximately 5 years old.   Additional info on our home page. To learn more about our adoption process, please CLICK HERE Home FurEver is a non-profit foster based canine rescue seeking foster parents, volunteers and donations. Please see our website for more information. Please note that Home FurEver does post applications on line. If the dog is a good fit for your household someone will call to interview the family. All members of the household should be present for the interview process. All applicants require a home inspection and vet check - Please note that we cannot drive more than an hour to do a home inspection. We do require a physical fenced back yard for all bully breeds. Some dogs may require households with children over a certain age. Ask yourself some questions before you consider bringing a new dog home. 1. Am I ready for a LIFE LONG commitment? 2. Am I prepared for a rowdy puppy? 3. Am I prepared to potty train? 4. Is this the right breed for me or my family? 5. Can I afford the food and vet care for this dog? 6. Is it best to have a totally fenced yard? 7. Will I make a commitment to obedience training?
