My Story

Hi! My name is Chessie. When GSDRGA rescued me, I was a skinny little thing. They fed me a whole lot of good food, and I stayed skinny. That’s when they realized I had an Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency with keeps me from properly absorbing my food. Once they started adding a supplement to my food, I started filling out. Lots of dogs have the same problem, and they live normal, active lives. I plan to be just like them. There’s a bunch more information on the GSDRGA Website. The enzymes aren’t terribly expensive―maybe $50 a month, but I’m so lovable that I’m worth it. I’m a little over a year old now, and I love being around other dogs and children. I don’t do well around cats. I am housebroken, crate trained and am getting really good with my house manners. I’d really like a home with another dog so we can play all day. They tell me I’m spayed and up to date on all my shots, whatever that means. If you think you might like me, I’d love to meet you. My foster mom is wonderful, but I need a forever home. Could it be yours?
