Requirements: -Cheeto can live in a home without another dog, but if there is another dog in the home, it should have compatible energy (low to medium) and be of similar size (small to medium) -If there are children in the home, they must be respectful of a dog's boundaries -Cheeto can live in an apartment, condo, or house Pup-sonality: Cheeto here! Anyone who believes that you can't teach an old dog new tricks should spend an afternoon with me. I wake up every day just looking for lots of love and attention, and to always experience new dog things. I am definitely at my happiest being around my people, but I also love hanging out with my foster siblings as well. I love spending some couch time, chillin' with my foster sisters, or playing outside with them. I love to chase balls and cuddle with my favourite stuffies. I am always close to my humans and have excellent recall. I am learning how to walk properly on a leash and am just happy to be with you. I don't need to go too far for walkies since I am just a little guy. Every time I meet someone new, I just do my best sit & melt-your-heart smile, then wait for those inevitable pets. I am very quiet and rarely bark what's there to bark about when every day and every thing makes you happy? I didn't start out so great in this life, I wasn't able to just relax and be a dog; so learning all these new things like being petted and playing with toys, is just the best! In my past life, I was primarily left in a crate and left alone with many other dogs. I can be protective of my food with other dogs at times, but I am learning that they are not trying to take it from me and that there will be enough food for me each day. I would love to have a family that is home a lot so that we can spend as much time together as possible. I will go into a crate when I need to, and you won't hear me complain. I am still working on my housetraining, but I know I'll get the hang of it. My foster family says that I surprise them every day with how many things I've learned and continue to learn, like shaking my paw. I really am just a people-pleaser. I love easily and am easy to love in return. I just want to bring you as much joy as you will surely bring me. My forever family will be amazed at watching me grow in confidence as I learn how to be the perfect companion and the incredible dog that I know I can be. Medical Note: Cheeto is receiving year-round heartworm & flea/tick preventative treatment. Cheeto has recently had a full dental cleaning at the vet's office.
