Charlie (I)

Hi, my name is Charlie and I am a 3yr old Shih Tzu. I weigh approx 16lbs and I am white and gray in colour.

Right up front, I have to let you know that I am afraid of Men, so I need to be adopted into a Female household where we may be able to work with Male visitors only at first. I'm currently in a Foster Home with cats and other dogs, and I get along fine with just the usual posturing. I do not like younger children.

My previous owners gave up on me as I have a skin allergy that they did not want to have diagnosed. My new owner should have an allergy workup done so we can cure me permanently (hopefully!). I am currently on steriods for my skin and have an ear infection, so I have not yet had my current vaccinations.

I love to play with squeaky toys and I do OK in the car. I'm young so I do need a nice fenced yard or dog park to run off my energy.

Please note the following.

• Charlie will not be adopted to families with Children under 12
• Charlie's new family will have to be prepared to work through his allergies via workup and possible special diet (if allergy is food related)
• Charlie's adoption fee is $300.00
• All applicants must be 25 yrs or older
• Applicants must be within 3 hr driving distance from Hamiliton ON
