My Story

As soon as we saw Christianne and Michael's application we knew that whomever they adopted would be oh so lucky. Their 15 year old Pit Bull girl had recently passed away and they were looking for a loving, well-behaved Pit Bull to join their household. Enter Charlie- he came in as a stray to the Delta Humane Society, and everyone was amazed that he was not quickly claimed. Very well-behaved and oh so affectionate, everyone who met him raved about what the perfect breed ambassadog he was. His only fault that we could find was that he sometimes gets car sick- not much of a fault! Despite his awesome temperament we all thought it might take him a bit of time to find a home since middle-aged, brindle Pit Bulls do not always catch the eye of potential adopters. Luckily he quickly caught the attention of Christianne and Michael, and 1 year old Pit Bull girl Coco, whom he adores. He didn't even get car sick when he made his way to their home in Victoria. They report that he is already making friends all around the neighborhood and showing off his awesome ambassadog skills.
Charlie just came to us from the Delta Humane Society, and we are already loving him as much as they did. Below is what the staff had to say about him!

Everyone here is in love with Charlie! He's a very sweet black and brown brindle male, and a little older than the staffies we normally see in the shelter. He is about 6 years old and very well behaved. He doesn't jump up or bark, and is very calm and affectionate. He used to live with a young and excitable female dog, and adored her, so he would probably enjoy being in a new home where he had another doggy companion. He is perfectly housetrained and walks very nicely on a leash. Volunteers always comment on what a good dog he is to take out! He hasn't reacted to any of the small animals he has seen, so he would most likely be fine in a home with cats, and he loves children just as much as any other people. Charlie is a very well rounded gentleman and will make a great companion for either a family or a single person!
