My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application Chappel came to us from Louisiana with 4 newborns in tow. She was a great mom, but due to her advanced heartworms, she was not able to care for them for long. She needed life saving medicine that made it unsafe for her to nurse. She took care of 4 stuffed animal surrogate babies, and is getting the medical treatment she needs.Chappel lives for attention. If she's not pawing at you gently, she's following you around the house or sitting at your feet. Chappel is currently in foster with several dogs, large and small, and a few cats. She is a lovely houseguest, has had no accidents, is crate trained, and will sit by the door when she needs to go outside. She walks well on a leash, loves to snuggle, and has spent a lot of time around a newborn baby and been an absolute doll.Right now, her medical needs render her pretty calm and she just wants to hang around. As she starts to feel better, she may show some more energy.Pawfect Match is covering the cost of her medical treatment, though it's possible once her heartworms are treated that she may still need to be on a daily medication. We'll know more, soon!If interested in Chappel, a foster-to-adopt situation can be arranged until her heartworm treatment is complete.
