Chandler

Love the Great Dane look but not the tall size? Chandler is the dog for you! He is actually a Great Dane - Lab mix but we are not listing him as such for two reasons. People that want Great Dane's generally want them because they are tall and Chandler is not. People that don't want a tall dog won't even look at Great Dane mixes. Chandler is 71 lbs at two years of age and while he needs to put on another five pounds or so he will remain the size of a lab. Yet if you look at the head and body structure, he undoubtably has Great Dane in him. He is a gentle and sweet dog. He likes to play but is equally happy to just sniff around. Good with dogs and kids but hasn't been around cats. Rumor has it that he can go over a 5' chain link fence. He leaves our 6' fence alone and shows no interest in it. He does not seem the fence jumper type but perhaps if it thunders? If you leave him outside in the yard ceaslessly alone? For now we will just caution adopters to keep an eye on him if your fence is 5' or less. He walks wonderfully on leash and has very good crate manners though he doesn't LIKE crates all that much. Chandler rides well in cars once you get him IN the car. Be prepared to pick him up and place him in your vehicle until he gets the hang of things. Chandler was just neutered and is currently recovering from surgery in our office. Why not come out and visit him?
