Chance

Chance has quite the story. He was previously adopted from a local shelter in 2021 and was later given away to someone else. Upon arrival at our Haven, he was severely emaciated, heartworm positive, and had terrible skin. Since then, we have been able to start him on the road to recovery, giving him adequate food so he can get to the proper weight, and have started him on heartworm treatment. We do not know how Chance ended up in Collinsville, but it has given him a CHANCE to start over fresh. Chance is still heartworm positive, and although heartworms are not contagious to other pets, they are incredibly deadly for him. Chance has undergone heartworm treatment to relieve him of the otherwise life-threatening heartworms. He IS available to be adopted by a responsible applicant who will be cautious with him. -Around 80lbs
