“Champ is just wonderful; he’s a keeper!” is the very first thing this beautiful three year old Lab’s foster mom told us. He’s a perfect trim 58 pounds, has a lovely expressive face and a gorgeous coat with a hint of red.
Champ is an affectionate sweetheart who sounds just about perfect. He’s housetrained, knows his basic commands, comes eagerly when called and is very responsive. He’s wonderful on the leash and his good manners have earned him free roam of the house when everyone is away. The furniture holds no interest for him. Champ loves everyone big and small and is a stranger to no one. Not only do dogs count him as a friend, but the feline set finds him polite company. When you come home he’s bouncy and happy, but never jumps on you. At night he sleeps quietly in the bedroom right next to the bed.
Champ loves to be with you and is a very quick learner. At first he’d just run after his foster sister when a ball was tossed, but after watching her retrieve he quickly picked up the skill himself!
Would you be surprised to hear that Champ has three legs? Everyone who meets him is. His foster mom remarked that when they go to the park people are always amazed when they finally notice it after he stops running like the wind with all the other dogs. She’s also heard that three legged dogs are good luck and she certainly feels lucky to have him in her life.
“I named him Champ because he IS a Champion. I don’t know his past, but he’s such a happy survivor, so beautiful, lovable and smart. He needs a forever family that will love him to pieces,” smiles his foster mom.
