Caylee

3/19/07 – Caylee was rescued from a local shelter that was full. She is 4 ½ months old and just a cute little puppy. The SPCA had her listed as a Patterdale Terrier mix. We are not quite sure what she could be mixed with but believe she will be a small adult dog. She is 10 pounds and has beautiful chocolate color fur and amazing green eyes. Caylee is a typical little puppy and just wants to play and be held. We will begin working on her housetraining. Her previous owners left her at the shelter because the “didn’t have time for her.” All puppies need someone to devote their time to them to train them properly. ARF wants to make sure that her next family has plenty of time to teach Caylee how to grow up to be a good doggie. She is going to be a small dog so would do best in a home with older children. Puppies are very cute, however they will soon grow into full-scale dogs, so any person interested in adopting a puppy will have to be familiar with the specific needs of a puppy. You'll need to understand crate and housetraining (ARF can help you as well), and you need to be able to check on the pet (or have a pet sitter) check on the pet during the day. It's not a good idea to get a puppy if you work 12 hours a day away from home, for example. Only serious applicants only, please.
