Good in a home with
Casper is a 6-months-old albino Great Dane. He is deaf and blind. He was found as a stray in Williamson County and ended up in the WilCo shelter. We pulled him out and sent him to a foster home for special needs dogs.
Casper was in foster for 3 weeks until arrangements were made to get him transported across country to a wonderful sanctuary for blind/deaf Great Danes (Deaf Danes Rescue, Inc. in Oakridge OR). This transport was made possible thanks to the Heigl Foundation and diverse group of people who came together with a common purpose to help Casper. On the way to OR, 3 more rescue dogs joined the ride to the sanctuary (Raisen, Drake and Bella).
We thank all the transport volunteers in TX, NM, AZ, CA and OR for helping Casper get to his safe place.
