Casey is up with the sun, and he greets each day with anticipation and joy. His foster parents report that he is the happiest puppy they have ever met.

Casey is also off the charts on cuteness; he is a compendium of Disney-like characteristics designed to melt your heart - ears like Dumbo, eyelashes as long and thick as Thumper's, and the soft, twinkling eyes and long legs of Bambi.

Small and agile, Casey cavorts through his days eagerly and busily. Everyone he meets, whether canine, feline or human, is his dear best friend. Every toy is a delight, and in his current foster situation, in which toys aplenty are stored in a basket in the living room, Casey plunders his treasure trove daily; his work is not completed until every toy in the basket has been removed, admired, and relocated.

Casey appears to be a Beagle mix. He is a leggy little black and tan pup with very refined lines. We cannot imagine him exceeding 30 pounds when he is fully grown. He gives direct and focused eye contact, and he is a remarkably quick learner. He is also a beautiful mover, and could be quite an athletic little guy when he matures.

Well on his way in housetraining, Casey is responsive and intelligent. Although still a puppy, Casey is capable of alert focus and concentration, and he is a keen little problem solver. By observing the resident dogs in his foster home, he has already divined how to use the dog door, how to fetch, and he comes whenever called.

Casey is an open, exuberant, and affectionate dog whose happy love affair with life and with himself is contagious. His adopter(s) will quickly discover that the world according to Casey is the best place on earth.
