My Story

Carrots is a less then one year old, approx 45 lb, Viszla/Mix. He was found as a stray running around in the Upper 9th Ward. He has a beautiful red and golden coat and gorgeous light colored eyes. He is a VERY friendly and affectionate guy. He loves to snuggle and makes a great bed buddy! He loves to put his head on your lap or leg and stare up at you with his heartbreaking eyes. Carrots likes to play with other dogs, and is very curious about cats (although he sometimes puts his nose too close for a little too long!)--he is very social but also submissive, and tends to run and hide if play gets too rough or he is startled by a loud noise. Carrots is crate trained and he loves his crate! He sleeps in his crate at night and after he wakes up for breakfast he CHOOSES to go back in his crate to hang out with the door open before his morning walk. He also loves his toys--Kongs and Nyla Bones in particular. He has been a bit mouthy (gently) and still jumps up in puppy excitement--but has been making vast improvements in those areas and working hard at his commands--he knows 'Sit' and is working on 'Stay', 'Off'', and 'Leave it'. Carrots is a wonderful, active, silly, friendly, and loving boy and would make a happy addition to your family! Carrots is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered.
