Carolina
aka Carrie, Sweet Caroline ….
Look at her face … she is so smart and so
attentive. Wonderful
10 month old beagle? aussie?
foxhound? Shepherd? Sheba Inu? Carolina dog …. Carrie a true mix of many breeds. We have no idea what her
lineage is, it is up to you to decide.
Carrie is spayed, housetrained, crate trained and up to
date on vaccines. She plays nicely with other dogs. I am hesitant to say she is
high energy as I don’t want for you to think she is hyper. Carolina is a very
busy dog, she will thrive in any environment as long
as she is given plenty of attention and plenty to do. Carrie would make an excellent
running/hiking partner, a great agility dog. She is medium size 37 pounds.
She is still quite puppy like in her
behavior. Carrie loves to cuddle and go on walks, she is expressive and
entertaining. She loves to play with stuffed and squeaky toys and will create
games to amuse herself. She is very INTERESTED in cats
… in other words if they run she is more than happy to give chase. We don’t believe
she will hurt them but your cat will probably not like the idea of being her
plaything so unless your cat is super dog savvy, let’s say no cats . She loves children but is a bit bouncy when she first
sees you and may be too much for the very old or the very young.
Ideally, we would like a home that has the time
to finish Carrie training …. perhaps take advantage of
a discounted basic obedience class offered to her new home, a fenced yard, lots
of love. Is that your home ? Please complete the
required application and we will have her coordinator call you ASAP.

The Adoption Facts:
1. You must be 21 years or older to adopt
2. We DO NOT place pets more than 100 miles out of NYC
3. An adoption application is required (link below)
4. There is a pre-screening process for potential home placement,
including a phone interview and the initial application. (This benefits you, our foster
homes and the pet.) This is all done BEFORE you meet the pet.
5. Be advised that we do respond to each and every completed application within
a 14 day period. Please be patient we know you are anxious to adopt
there are only so many hours in a day. We are trying our best. At this time we are
unable to respond to emails with questions (will he fit my home? Is he available? I have xyz will he like it here?)
We recommend completing an application after which we will be able to answer ALL your questions.

Do not send e-mail inquires concerning availability, if you see a pet listed at the web site, then the pet is definitely available.
