My Story

Ahoy Mate! My name is Captain Jack but I have several aliases - one eyed Jack, Jackaroo-roo, Black Jack. As long as Jack is in there somewhere, I will come running. I was found swimming down a flooded street in New Orleans after the big storm. That is when I lost my eye. I was skinny and in bad shaped. I am now healthy, full of life, and looking for a permanent home. The vets told me I am a lab/newfoundland mix who was born about 5/02. I have been neutered, am up to date on my shots and have completed heartworm treatment. I love to run and play. I don't like cats; I get along with other dogs but would be happiest as the one and only man of the house. I need a fenced in yard and a little bit more training and I will be the perfect mate for you. I have a big bark that I use on possible intruders and strange animals to protect my home. But the truth is, I just want a hug. . I can't wait to be home for good, can I go home with you?
