Meet Capone!
This big boy was found chained up in a basement with two other dogs in horrible condition! (Visual in one of the pictures we have of when he first came in- still smiling though!) It is actually very crazy to think that though all that he is still the biggest love bug on earth but it’s true! He is 7 years old and a pitbull/mastiff mix! He is a happy-go-lucky lug of a dude and would love to celebrate his golden years in a loving home. Capone is very sweet and likes to meet new people. He is very food motivated. He had a rough start to life but just wants to relax now. Capone loves his XL doggie beg and never had accidents in his suite! He is a calm gentle giant and has a sweet personality that is unlike any other which is why he is a staff and volunteer favorite! Capone would prefer a home as the only pet in the home or with other calm older dogs. He absolutely loves kids but is large (around 70 lbs) and strong so that should be considered. Capone still likes to play at 7 and regularly plays chase in our doggie yard with the staff! He hops around like a big gazelle and is so good about not bumping into you or being too rough when playing. He is truly going to make a family the happiest in the world!
The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as a rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog or family's needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. This cannot be achieved if people stop by unexpectedly to meet our dogs. Please submit an application at www.NAWSUS.org under the Pet Adoption tab to setup a day or time to meet with one of our adoption counselors and our potential adoptees. Thank you!
