Cady 6yo

Miss Cady is our “Sofa Princess”. Her forever home absolutely must have a sofa where she can curl up and watch the world go by. It’s hard to imagine that this gentle six year old Chocolate girl with soft brown eyes, who is as loving as she is pretty, was neglected and relegated to a life as a breeder before she came to us. As a result she’s rather quiet and shy. New places and experiences can be a bit overwhelming. Her foster mom has introduced her to many new things and each day this adaptable, resilient girl finds her confidence growing. She was pretty clever in figuring out how to hop from rug to rug to avoid walking on the slippery cold tile and how to zoom in and snag a momentarily neglected treat!

Sleek and trim, Cady weighs a very nicely proportioned 65 pounds. Cady is housetrained and good girl when left alone while you are away. She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely adores puppies. She thrived helping her foster mom care for three tiny sick rescued puppies. In fact, as soon as they arrived she hopped right off the couch to say hello to each one! How they loved to curl up next to her warm body as she gently kept watch over them. She was such a pro, she quickly earned the nickname “Mama Dog”.

Cady will flourish with a patient, low key person with a moderately active lifestyle; a person who would enjoy gently encouraging a quiet, timid girl to blossom even more. Cady is more comfortable with women than men. A special forever “girlfriend” to curl up on the sofa with and gently explore the world with will be best.

So plump up those sofa cushions and come meet our sweet princess, Miss Cady!
