Buttons is an adorable terrier! He is about 7 months old and 16 pounds. The pictures are not the best- we took them at the vet office then during a transport in the rain! Buttons is much cuter than in the picture, and is smaller than he appears in his photos. He is great with children and other dogs. Buttons rides well in the car and does well on a leash. Buttons is a little unsure of new situations but warms up very quickly- obedience and socialization classes would be beneficial. Buttons is working on housebreaking in foster care, and also cratetraining. Please email us for an application.
Buttons is neutered, utd shots, kennel cough vaccinated, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. His adoption donation is $95. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

If you are out of state, it does take time to process your application and find a home visitor from another rescue to do your visit. Please be SERIOUS about adopting a dog from our rescue before submitting an application.

The application is the first step. After we receive and approve a completed application, we will schedule a home visit.
Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.
We do not ship our dogs.
