Buttons is happy-go-lucky, goofy, energetic and friendly with people. She enjoys car rides and trips to the beach and walks nicely on a leash. Buttons also loves to play with plush toys.
Buttons loves affection and can take short walks in cooler temperatures. She travels well in the car and is always up for an outing.
Buttons is a healthy 9-year-old who weighs 16 lbs. She is a strong Pug and will get up under your feet in the kitchen and bathroom so she can be a trip hazard.
Buttons is crate trained, leash-trained and doing very well on her housetraining. She needs to be leashed walked because she wants to put things in her mouth like leaves and sticks so she does not need a fenced yard.
Buttons would do best being the only dog in the home due to food resource guarding with dogs (but not with people). We would prefer her forever home be one with Pug experience.

WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME (No children or grandkids) WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door that opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.
We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.
Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.
